President Muhammadu Buhari, today spoke with the President of the United States of America, Mr. Donald Trump, on phone today at about 3.45p.m.
Buhari’s Personal Assistant on New Media, Ahmad Bashir, had disclosed via his Twitter handle and said the president would make the call from his London residence.

The call was also confirmed by AFP journalist, Stephanie Findlay, though the details of their discussion was not revealed.
Buhari had on January 19 departed Nigeria for the United Kingdom on a short vacation that would see him undergoing check-ups from January 24 and would resume on February 6.

Before leaving, the president wrote a letter informing the National Assembly of the trip and asking that Vice President Yemi Osinbajo act as Acting President.
He has since transmitted another letter in which he said he had decided to extend the vacation because of the need for “a course of medications and further appointments” with his doctors.
