President Muhammadu Buhari, today, presided over the Federal Executive Council (FEC) for the first time in seven weeks.
Buhari, who was decked in a white Babanriga and cap, returned to the country after his 49-day medical vacation in London.
He arrived the council chambers of the presidential villa, Abuja, at exactly 10.03am.
After nominating minister of transportation, Rotimi Ameachi, to offer the Christian prayer, Buhari said, “I have not seen Lai”, and the minister of information replied: “I am here, sir.”
This elicited laughter from other members of council.
The president then asked him to offer the Muslim prayer.
Vice-President Yemi Osinbajo presided over the weekly meeting in Buhari’s absence.
