The Super Eagles of Nigeria have been boosted by the arrivals goalkeepers Ikechukwu Ezenwa and Daniel Akpeyi, following an injury to first choice keeper Carl Ikeme (who is out of Nigeria’s two friendly matches.)
The Super Eagles play Senegal on Thursday and Burkina Faso on Monday, with both games holding at the home ground of League 2 teams Barnet FC and London Bees, The Hive.
Technical Adviser Gernot Rohr and his assistants had been in a state of worry, when Ikeme arrived at the Crowne Plaza London Ealing hotel with injury and deputies Ezenwa and Akpeyi were held back by visa hitches in Nigeria and South Africa.
Nigeria –based goalkeeper Ezenwa eventually got his visa on Tuesday evening and flew out of Lagos to London on Wednesday, alongside Coach Salisu Yusuf and a few other officials.
South Africa –based Akpeyi’s UK visa was delayed by a public holiday in South Africa but he did the 11 –hour haul from Johannesburg to London overnight and arrived at Crowne Plaza London Ealing after breakfast on Thursday.
The match will be played on Thursday by 8pm Nigerian time.
