World heavyweight champion and British Boxer, Anthony Joshua has surely not forgotten his roots and is doing everything possible to preserve it by passing it to the next generation.
Though he has won many medals for and in the United Kingdom, the star boxer still finds sufficient time to identify with his Nigerian roots.
Joshua has always spoken about the influence of the Nigerian discipline on his professional career as a boxer and he is now hoping that his son can learn a thing or two.
In a video posted online, Joshua can be heard teaching his son, Joseph, how to construct some sentences in yoruba.
‘Bawo ni ? (How are you), Ki lo n se e (what is wrong with you”, Joshua can be heard saying in the background as the young Joseph tries to repeat after him.
After a while, the young Joseph can no longer keep up and lets out a scream much to the amusement of his father.
Joshua was born in the UK but spent part of his childhood growing up in Nigeria before returning to the UK, aged 12 to attend Secondary School in Watford.
Meanwhile, it is back to serious business for Anthony Joshua as he would be defending his title on the 31st of March, 2018 against Joseph Parker.
