A new political movement is in place just a few days after former President Olusegun Obasanjo proposed it in a letter written to President Buhari.
The new Coalition Movement was launched at the Yar’Adua Centre in Abuja yesterday even though Obasanjo was absent from the meeting.
The former president in a lengthy and critical public statement on Tuesday, January 23, suggested the formation of the movement.
Two former Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) governors, Olagunsoye Oyinlola and Donald Duke, were in attendance at the launch of the movement.
Obasanjo in his recent public statement said the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) and the opposition Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) were incapable of repositioning Nigeria, having lost the confidence of the electorate.
