Nigeria has named its provisional 30-man list for the FIFA World Cup, finally putting an end to the debate whether veteran goalkeeper, Vincent Enyeama would be available for the world cup.
One area of concern for Nigeria has been the goalkeeping aspect and there have been speculations that Enyeama, whose heroics were evident in the 2010 world cup, would be recalled from retirement.
All that has been put to rest as Enyeama has not made the team with coach Gernot Rohr preferring the old guys who have got the job done in the past – Ezenwa, Akpeyi, Uzoho and Dele Ajiboye.
In defense, Kenneth Omeruo makes tha cut alongside Hull City’s Ola Aina, Bryan Idowu is also included while CHAN star, Stephen Eze is picked also.
Joel Obi did enough in the last two friendlies and he is rewarded with a place on the team alongside Uche Agbo and Etebo.
Further forward, it is the usual suspects with the only unfamiliar names being Junior Lokosa, the Nigeria premier league star and Simeon Nwankwo
