Nigeria’s fleet-footed winger, Moses Simon has been all but ruled out of the 2018 FIFA world cup after sustaining an injury.
Moses did not take part in training on Sunday as reports suggested that he would be out for three to four weeks due to injury he picked up in camp.
Coach of the Super Eagles, Gernot Rohr has suggested that the winger would be one of the five players that will be dropped after today’s friendly against DR Congo.
Speaking during an interview on Sunday, Rohr said:
“…unfortunately we have an injury. This is why I have to eliminate one player…We have one
“Simon Moses cannot participate in the match tomorrow (against DR Congo) and probably not in the 23-man list”.
Moses Simon was one of the few players who featured regularly during Nigeria’s impressive world cup qualifier campaign.
