Nigeria Vs Iceland: Iwobi And Ighalo Dropped, As Omeruo, Musa, Iheanacho Start For Super Eagles #NGAISL

The coach of the Super Eagles of Nigeria, Gernot Rohr has kept faith in the team captain, John Obi Mikel as he names him in the starting line for the match against Iceland.

Rohr was criticized for deploying Mikel in the number 10 position and the coach seems unfazed by the criticism as he has opted to play Mikel in the same position.

Right back, Shehu Abdullahi has been dropped from the starting 11 with Victor Moses deployed to play the right wing-back position – a position he is familiar with at Chelsea.

Leicester city forward, Kelechi Iheanacho also gets the nod ahead of favoured striker, Odion Igahlo while Iwobi drops to the bench as Ahmed Musa gets a starting berth.

Nigeria is expected to play the 3-5-2 formation.

Nigeria XI: Uzoho, Omeruo, Balogun, Ekong, Idowu, Moses, Etebo, Ndidi, Mikel, Musa, Iheanacho
