President Muhammadu Buhari is now in danger of impeachment as a federal high court has granted an order compelling the national assembly to begin impeachment process against the President.
According to Punch, Justice Maureen Onyetenu gave the order on Wednesday at the Federal high court in Osogbo, the Osun state capital.
He gave the ex parte order on following a motion filed by the chairman of the Nigeria Bar Association (NBA), Ilesa branch, Kanmi Ajibola; and Suleiman Adeniyi, a human rights activist.
Alleging that Buhari breached the constitution, they had written to the national assembly to begin impeachment process against the president.
They also claimed that Buhari did not possess a certificate to be qualified as a president and should be impeached.
In her ruling, Onyetenu granted the leave to compel the national assembly to commence impeachment process against the president.
