Governor of Lagos state, Akinwunmi Ambode has suffered an heavy defeat in the ongoing Lagos Primary election after losing at Tinubu’s ward.
Ambode was only able to poll four votes as against Jide Sanwo-Olu’s 960 votes in the ongoing Lagos State governorship primary election of the All Progressives Congress (APC).
The result sees Sanwo-Olu take a huge lead in Ward C, Tinubu’s ward — comprising Olusosun, Alausa and Oregun.

Sanwo-Olu is the anointed of Tinubu, the National Leader of the party. He already boasted of leaving Ambode in the dust at the primary.
Also, Ambode’s agent were nowhere in sight at the polling unit. After waiting for almost 20 minutes without seeing the green light of Ambode’s agent, people were seen moving from where they already queued up to vote him.
Results from Yaba, Ifako-Ijaiye, Lagos Island also showed that Ambode has suffered heavy defeats in Wards there.
The primary election is ongoing in many other APC wards across the state.
