Former Vice-President, Atiku Abubakar Beats Saraki, Tambuwal, Others To Win PDP Presidential Ticket For 2019 Election


Former Vice-president of Nigeria, Atiku Abubakar has emerged winner of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) presidential primary election.

He received the highest number of votes in the exercise which was held in Port Harcourt from Saturday to Sunday.

He scored 1,532 votes, almost 50% of the total votes as there was a total of 3,274 accredited delegates.

PDP Primaries

His closest rival, Aminu Waziri Tambuwal, polled 693 while Senate President, Bukola Saraki had 317 votes with Kwankwaso getting 158 votes.

Datti Baba-Ahmed getting five votes and rooted to the bottom of the table.
