“Where Were You From 2015 – 2017, Now You Are Sharing Money” – Saraki Slams Osinbajo Over TraderMoni

Senate President, Bukola Saraki has slammed the Vice-President of Nigeria, Yemi Osinbajo over the ongoing Tradermoni scheme.

The Tradermoni is a scheme by the government were small business owners are given a particular amount of money, as a loan, to help their businesses.

However, Saraki has slammed what he describes as the politicization of the scheme by the Vice-president and the opposition All Progressive Congress (APC).

In a video shared online, Saraki berated Osinbajo for starting the scheme just few months to the general election, saying it amounts to ‘sophisticated vote buying’ by the APC.

“Look again, Tradermoni; this program has been going on for the last three years. In 2015, I didn’t see the Vice-President going anywhere to give anybody tradermoni. In 2016, I didn’t see the Vice president going anywhere to give anybody tradermoni…” Saraki said.

He continued: “But all of a sudden in 2018, and the worst part about it is that he goes with the woman leader of his party, governor of his party. At least if you’re going and it is Nigerians’ money, you should have women leader of all the parties…

“It is totally wrong, it equates in a way to sophisticated vote buying…It is either they stop it or they expand the space because the money belongs to all Nigerians.”
