According to reports, one of the security people at the airport walked up to him and asked which flight he was waiting for and he replied that it was the Ethiopian Airlines flight. The person then told him that the plane had crashed.
He was however relieved to hear that his son missed the plane. Ahmed was connecting from Dubia but missed his flight and couldn’t go with the plane and so had to wait for another plane.
