President Muhammadu Buhari, yesterday evening, played host to leaders of the National Assembly as they joined him in breaking the Ramadan fast at the State House in Abuja.
This is the first time Buhari would be hosting the national assembly leaders after the general election.
The delegation was led by the Senate President, Dr. Bukola Saraki and the Speaker of the House of Representatives, Hon. Yakubu Dogara.
Also present were: Deputy Senate president, Ike Ekweremadu; Deputy Speaker, Yusuf Lasun; Hon. Femi Gbajabiamila among other principal officers.
Despite their various difference in the months leading to the election and after the election, all parties put their differences aside as they were all smiles.
It would be recalled that Saraki dumped the ruling All Progressive Congress (APC) for the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) with Dogara following him months after.
The duo were also vocal critics of Buhari in the lead-up to the election, accusing him of incompetence.
Although Buhari and Dogara won their reelection bid, Saraki was not so lucky as he lost his seat in the Senate.
