The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) today arraigned the former chairman of the Pension Reform Task Team (PRTT), Abdulrasheed Maina, at the federal high court in Abuja.
Maina arrived at the court in the company of Faisal, his son who is also to be arraigned, at 8:52am.
He is accused of being involved in pension fraud to the tune of N100 billion.
A high court had ordered the forfeiture of 23 properties linked to him.
Maina pleaded “not guilty” on a 12-count charge of money laundering brought against him by the EFCC.
In one of the charges, the accused allegedly concealed his identity as the signatory to accounts, where the funds are domiciled, opened by his relatives who are staff of the banks where they are maintained.
