According to reports reaching us, there has been a pipeline explosion around Ile-Epo, in Abule Egba area of Lagos state.
The explosion which occurred on Sunday night is believed to have been caused by the illegal works of pipeline vandals.
According to eye witnesses, the explosion may likely be from a vandalised petroleum pipeline belonging to the Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation (NNPC), situated in the area.

In videos circulating online, people can be seen fleeing from the fire while many people are leaving their homes.

As at the time of filing this report, two fire service tankers are on ground at the scene to curb the fire from escalating further into the densely populated residential areas within the community.
