Arsenal youngster, Bukayo Saka has missed out on Gareth Southgate’s England squad for next month’s Nations League games against Iceland and Denmark.
Gareth Southgate named a 24-man squad for next month’s Nations League games against Iceland and Denmark that includes Harry Maguire, who is currently facing trial for an incident in Greece.
There are first call-ups for Manchester City midfielder Phil Foden, Manchester United striker Mason Greenwood and Leeds midfielder Kalvin Phillips.
While other youngsters like Manchester United’s Mason Greenwood, Manchester City’s Phil Foden and Leeds United’s Kalvin Philips were included in the team, Saka was ignored.
This has come as a surprise to many Arsenal fans considering Saka’s meteoric performance this season, a performance that earned him a new contract.
With this new development, many Nigerians have started calling on Saka to switch allegiance from England to Nigeria so he can be called up to the Super Eagles squad.
