President Muhammadu Buhari has unveiled the official logo to celebrate Nigeria’s 60 years of Independence ahead of the celebration on October 1.
The logo was unveiled at the Federal Executive Council (FEC) meeting at the state house in Abuja.
Sharing the news and the logo, Buhari’s personal assistant on New media, Bashir Ahmed, tweeted:
“President @MBuhari has unveiled the #NigeriaAt60 logo (#60Together) this morning at the commencement of this week’s Federal Executive Council (FEC) Meeting at the State House, Abuja.”
Speaking at the unveiling, Buhari said:
“It is to the Glory of God and in celebration of the attainment of the Diamond Age of 60 by our great Nation that I hereby unveil the preferred anniversary logo for this momentous occasion in our Nation’s history.”
”With a deep feeling of national pride that I hereby announce to you, that #TOGETHER shall be the theme of our 60th Anniversary Celebration.
“Our founding fathers, In spite of the differences in faith, tribe and tongue came TOGETHER to fight for Nigeria’s independence”.
