Laycon has been declared the winner of the 5th edition of the Big brother Naija show, seeing off competition from other housemates.
The show, which has been on for the past 10 weeks, provided top entertainment for many Nigerians and one of the fans favourite, Laycon went home with the grand prize of 85 million naira.
The N85m includes 30 million cash prize, an Innoson Motors Jeep and a two-bedroom flat by Revolution Now Properties).
During the finale which held on Sunday night, Vee was the first of the final 5 contestants to be evicted and was soon followed by Neo – her on-screen partner.
The final 3 saw a battle between Laycon, Dorathy and Nengi with Nengi the first to leave before Laycon was then declared the winner.
The voting chart showed that the votes were overwhelmingly in favour of the winner as he went home with 60% of the vote as compared to his nearest opponent, Dorathy who got 21.85% of the votes.
Nengi got 15.03% of the votes while Neo and Vee got 1.94% and 1.18% respectively.
Before the winner was announced, viewers were treated to entertaining performances from fast-rising stars, Fireboy and Rema and later, 30 Billion Gang mates, Mayorkun and Davido.
